On Friday, May 15, undergraduate students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST visited Standard Energy’s headquarters.

During the visit, the students toured our development center and V-line, automated production line of VIB, where we introduced how VIB, a next-generation energy storage technology, is developed and produced. We also had a meaningful Q&A session covering battery systems, manufacturing, and engineering, as well as the challenges and questions that come with building a company as a KAIST-founded startup and tackling real-world issues in the field.

At Standard Energy, we are developing energy storage solutions based on Vanadium Ion Battery (VIB) technology for applications that require both high safety and high power, including AI data centers, ultra-fast EV charging, and grid stabilization. We will continue to broaden our engagement with the next generation of talent who will lead the future of energy, while creating more meaningful connections between academia and industry.

We sincerely thank Professor Jo Hansol and all the students for visiting us, and hope this exchange served as a meaningful opportunity to think together about the future of the energy industry.
